It would be helpful if I'd actually included a photo of the flowers we'll make!!
Hello!!
It's been a long, long time since I've sat at my little PC and written a blog post. My back has recovered wonderfully from surgery in January, and I get cleared in a few days to get back to teaching card making! I have really missed this part of life and am excited to get back to doing what I love. Thank you for all of your prayers and support as I have been recovering. And a huge thank you to Maggie for helping out and taking over my blog while I was out! She was also a fantastic nurse to me!!
The first class on my calendar will be at China Phoenix 2 where we will learn to make all sorts of fabric flowers to embellish your cards, scrapbook pages or as part of a gift wrap embellishment. When I offered this class last year, it filled up quickly and was very popular.
Once you learn how to take trim, a favorite fabric scrap, old seam binding, or even wired ribbon and turn each into beautiful, unique flowers, you'll find yourself fiddling with these and making flowers when you should be cleaning house or cooking.
Class will be this Saturday morning from 10:00 am - noon. Bring your buttons or brads to add to your finished flowers. You will also want to bring a small bottle of Fabri-Tac adhesive to secure your flowers. Perhaps you have some ribbon, trim or fabric that you would like to see turned into a flower.....bring it along! I will be bringing needles and thread, but you may prefer to have your own. Don't wear anything fancy! We will have thread all over us by lunchtime, but we will be so happy ;D
You can either call Nancy at 884-8217 to sign up, or contact me via email at krosecrans@comcast.net I look forward to seeing you and making beautiful flowers on Saturday!
Welcome back, Kathy! I'm very glad you've recovered so well! Hugs to you! :)
ReplyDeleteI have missed you, Kathy! Your class sounds right up my alley - I'll start hitching now and maybe I can make it by the weekend :)) Your new blog background is wonderful, too - can't wait for the peonies to bloom......they are about a foot high right now....
